HOW WE STARTED

Updated: Mar 18, 2021

In the early 21st century, a huge evolution could be seen regarding development and production of tactical and military clothing and accessories. Several new products were developed featuring excellent properties, mostly in the USA. MCCUU (Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform) was adapted by the USMC and the ACU (Army Combat Uniform) was adapted by the US Army, so more and more new, advanced and extended models were available in the middle of the 2000s. Therefore a lot of tactical brands started to adapt new features in their garments.

After 12 years of active use and lots of tested models we came to the conclusion that something new, unconventional is needed. Something that we can move properly in and is made of durable fabrics. So we started to look for new clothes, but after trying distinct new products we had to recognise that somehow we always had to make compromises. In case these newer models were durable, they lacked ergonomy, or when their ergonomy was fair enough, the used materials showed poor quality, or none of the requirements were fulfilled. When we were fed up, we decided to start developing our own garments. At first only for ourselves...

And what were the main requirements? The models have to be ergonomic to provide excellent range of motion even tucked-in or out, while being packed, anyhow. The garments have to be durable. Here, the fabrics and materials were the primary question. There are plenty of good solutions and we attempted to choose the best options. Last but not least, even if it is not so important nowadays: the products have to be made in Hungary! When it came to arrange the production, I was determined to search for Hungarian tailor companies, where our garments can be produced in premium quality with flexible and innovative solutions concerning our own developed models, which are -on the other hand- really unique products in the European tactical and military gear market.

I think, we succeeded…
